In Memory of Mike A Booth
Mike A. (The Wizard Of Wattage) Booth
(April 7, 1955 - February 24, 2007)
This page is in memory of our friend, and co-host, who we knew as "The Wizz". Mike worked with us from 1996-98 on the radio show. His love of music, and knowledge of music, entertained all of us, both fans and friends alike. Mike was the one person on the air that you could never predict, but you would always get a laugh. His character on the air added to the suprise of the show and made us the three stooges of morning radio at that time. Mike was also a good friend to us, and in his passing, he has gone on to entertain the lord with his style of humor and music, though we will miss the days of being in his front yard, looking at a large bullhorn, and hearing the music all the way down the road.
LAKE LUZERNE * Michael A. "The Wizz" Booth, 51, of Call Street, went home to glory on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Saratoga Hospital.
Born on April 7, 1955, in Queens, he attended John Adams High School in Ozone Park, Queens.
The love of his life was music and entertaining folks with music. There did not seem to be a song that he did not know or have upon request. He loved to make people happy through music, and see them having a good time. He not only took paying jobs but freely did charity events as well.
Mike was employed in a variety of jobs, and was a community member of Corinth Wesleyan Church, where for about 15 years he volunteered his time to videotape the services. For a number of years Mike delivered The Saratogian in Corinth and more recently worked at the Queensbury Wal-mart.
For a number of years he struggled with leukemia and other health problems. Saratoga Hospital staff knew him well as he was often in their care.
When Mike delivered The Saratogian he was happy to help the widows by delivering them milk and bread as needed. He was always willing to help and lend a hand when he was able.
He was predeceased by his father, Arthur W. Booth Sr.; his mother, Loretta I. (Brundermann) Frawley; his stepfather, Clarence Frawley; and his sister, Lisa Booth.
Survivors include one brother, Arthur W. Booth of Hagaman and by his special friends, Randy and Sally Byron and family of Hadley.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at the Corinth Wesleyan Church, 292 River St., Corinth with the Rev. David Parker, pastor, officiating.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
Spring burial will be at Lynwood Cemetery, Hadley.
The family requests that donations be made in memory of Mike to the Gateway House of Peace (a hospice type home in the planning stages for the Corinth area), Saratoga National Bank, 238 Main St., Corinth, NY 12822.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth.
